Here is a bit about me and a summary of current work, starting with my focus: Vision, Strategy, Engagement, Inspiration, Growth

Commercially focused senior management executive and digital veteran with extensive experience in Pan-European and U.S. Strategy, Digital Media, Production, Business Development, Brand building and operational management experience working for entrepreneurial growth companies, production companies, sports teams and some of the greatest global brands. Passionate about online, great stories and innovation; having worked with iconic brands in senior roles such as MTV, Virgin, Live Nation and the Daily Mail, beginning with Arthur Andersen. Co-founder of Artist Underground, one of the web’s earliest sites launching in 1994 and the first 360 digital music service for independent artists in internet history.  Here is an article about it from Time Magazine Wired for Sound

I am commercially oriented in my business approach, including acting as the catalyst and architect for companies moving to a digital future while engaging with people through irresistible content on any platform.

Producing great content on any platform remains a focus for me and I’m an Executive Producer for Seven Trees Productions where we have a slate of projects in various stages of development.  Many of our projects have multi-platform aspects which enrich the story telling and engage people in new ways.  I am a member of BAFTA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

In 2012, I saw a momentum growth opportunity within the professional services sector driven by each country’s need to increase their tax revenues during this global recession.  In 2010, the United States passed the aggressive FATCA law which came into effect during 2015 and affects anyone investing in the USA.  I joined US Tax & Financial Services as the Group Managing Director and with a talented team of professionals in London, Zurich and Geneva, we work to strategize, plan and keep individuals and companies compliant with the US tax regulations from anywhere in the world.  In 2016, we are expanding further abroad to the Netherlands, Sweden and Singapore.

With its large consumer market, world-class talent network, vibrant support infrastructure and large pool of capital, the United States remains one of the most attractive markets for any start-up that wants to ‘go global’.  From our offices in London, USTAXFS advises entrepreneurs on how to navigate the complex US tax landscape.  We participate in European events such as:  Venturefest, Fried Frank Tech ‘Coming to America’ academies, Wayra, Seedcamp, L39, Web Summit, Swedish Beers, London Technology Week and SelectUSA with the US Commercial Service.  This year, I am proud to personally be a mentor and judge for MassChallenge, a start-up friendly accelerator who believes in impact over equity.

 

Rounding it all out – I support Arsenal and Scotland’s national rugby team #AsOne, can often be found at rugby stadiums or tennis courts and am passionate about wine, single malt whisky and Scotland.
